Subject: [YP_Ke] Recall Mps Under Article 104 - But waht grounds can count Now!

THE RECALL CLAUSE UNDER THE CONSTITUTION OF KENYA ;- Article 104.

(1) The electorate under Articles 97 and 98 have the right to recall the member of Parliament representing their constituency before the end of the term of the relevant House of Parliament.

(2) Parliament shall enact legislation to provide for the grounds on which a member may be recalled and the procedure to be followed. Article 97 and 98 is about the composition of Parliament and the senate respectively.
A Legislation (Act of parliament) is yet to be enacted to spell grounds for petitioning for recalling and procedures thereto - as of now, there is none. However, the constitution has a provision for its enforcement if there is apparent failure by a particular institution to perform its duty.

ENFORCEMENT OF THE CONSTITUTION OF KENYA ;- Article 258.

(1) Every person has the right to institute court proceedings, claiming that this Constitution has been contravened, or is threatened with contravention.

(2) In addition to a person acting in their own interest, court proceedings under clause (1) may be instituted by:
(a) a person acting on behalf of another person who cannot act in their own name;
(b) a person acting as a member of, or in the interest of, a group or class of persons;
(c) a person acting in the public interest; or
(d) an association acting in the interest of one or more of its members.

What are the possible grounds will you like to make a legislation to recall Mps well known Migs!

A business man from Japan will be here in Nairobi for a business exploration mission next week. He would like to meet a few business people or entrepreneurs to discuss what business opportunities exist in Kenya and possibly explore partnership.

[YP_Ke] Twisting facts

To stay informed as a pastor, I spend a reasonable amount of time every day watching news, listening to the Radio shows/discussions/talks, reading USA/Kenyan daily papers and following discussions on different forums. I've observed quite some interesting things. Like?

1.     Some people like twisting facts so as to achieve their intended goals

2.    Politics is a very dirty game indeed. Politicians can do anything and I mean anything so as to bring their opponents down

3.    Some people are ever ready to buy anything that sounds sweet to their ears- Have seen a lot of this in the American politics

4.    Some politicians are more corrupt/cunning than others

5.    Some lawyers are as cunning as their masters/mentors. They are neither here nor there. They are easily influenced by the wind. It's about survival

6.    The motivation behind supporting this leader as opposed to that leader is often times influenced by selfish motives, such as:-What will I get or better still, how will I benefit? ; Is this individual my friend? Is this individual of my race/tribe/clan?

7.    Even those who claim to be followers of Jesus are often times caught up in this messy game of fact twisting

And so in the end, it's all confusion. All I can say is "Save us dear Lord" Mercy !

"Buy the truth and do not sell it-- wisdom, instruction and insight as well." (Proverbs 23:23)

[YP_Ke] IMANYARA urges RAILA and opposition to plot coup

Wednesday October 16, 2013 - Celebrated human rights lawyer and former
Imenti Central Member of Parliament, Gitobu Imanyara, has warned of
serious consequences if President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy,
William Ruto, continue to perpetuate impunity.

Speaking through his Twitter account, Imanyara trashed the resolution
by the African Union (AU) demanding the International Criminal Court
(ICC), to defer cases facing President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy,
William Ruto, until they are out of office, saying the move was utter
disrespect on human rights.

He noted that the victims of the 2008 post election violence did not
ask for deferral before they were killed, and that Uhuru/ Ruto had no
moral right to ask for deferral, because that will only derail the
wheels of justice for the victims which in turn perpetuate impunity.

Imanyara noted that such disrespect of human rights is what triggers
unconstitutional change of Government (coup d'état) and that he would
fine with it if it happened in Kenya.

Here is his tweet;

Imanyara# African leaders who want to shield themselves from ICC while
in office are encouraging unconstitutional change of Government. Coup
plotters.

Why should we not all live in peace and harmony ? we look up the same stars
, we are fellow passengers on the same planet and dwell beneath the same
sky , what matters it along which road each individual endeavours to reach
the ultimate truth ? the riddle of existence is too great that there should
be only one road leading us to an answer

[YP_Ke] Do not force things

There are times when you find yourself loving somebody or wanting something so bad and you don't want him/her or it to go. Your love/liking is so intense that nothing else counts. But if things are not going the way you expected or whoever you like doesn't seem to like you then just let it go.

From what I have heard from others, it's never easy to let it go. Memories of time spent together keeps on coming back. Any attempt to let go never gets easy.

It would be a job that you have wanted for so long but every time you think that you are about to get it, then lo and behold something happens

Listen, when things begin going south, just let it go. In life, do not force anything. Give time to healing for in the end you will be find. Yes, the journey back will never be the same but in the end, all will be fine. Just avoid forcing anything.

[YP_Ke] Better than you?

He must increase, but I must decrease. (John 3:30)

Many people don't like it. No. They actually hate to learn/hear/ know that someone else is doing better than them. Not at school, work, home, church or among fellow workers, colleagues, friends, church members and name it. All that many people care about is "I, Me and Myself" kind of feeling

That kind of approach in life is selfish in many ways. God's desire for each one of us is to consider others. Wrote the Apostle Paul: "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.  Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others." (Philippians 2:3-4)

The spirit of unselfishness was demonstrated by Abraham (Genesis 13); John the Baptist (John 3:30); and Jesus Himself (Philippians 2:5-8). The same is expected of you and I. Let us rejoice with others when they excel. Let us congratulate them when they have done well. Let it be our joy and not sadness to see others succeed
